Heather and Matthew’s Disney BoardWalk Inn wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments and playful surprises. From a calm morning at Port Orleans Riverside to a reception entrance no one expected, their day felt relaxed, intentional, and full of joy.
Even more importantly, everything about their wedding reflected who they are together — fun-loving, thoughtful, and a little bit magical.
The day began quietly at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. Heather and Matthew got ready in nearby rooms, surrounded by their closest people.

Meanwhile, Heather spent the morning laughing with her bridesmaids in pajamas. The energy felt light and easy. Later, she stepped into her dress with her mom’s help. Her gown was simple with soft boho details, which fit the day perfectly.
At the same time, Matthew got ready with his groomsmen. There were jokes, relaxed conversations, and sweet moments with his mom. From the start, the day felt unrushed and real.
Rather than a traditional first look, Heather and Matthew chose something more personal. They exchanged private vows behind a door. They could hear each other without seeing one another. Because of this, the moment felt incredibly intimate.

Afterward, Heather shared first looks with her dad, stepdad, and brothers. Each reaction was emotional and genuine. These quiet moments became some of the most meaningful parts of the day.
The ceremony took place outdoors at Port Orleans Riverside. With just over 50 guests, it felt warm and personal.

There were no readings or formal rituals. Instead, the focus stayed on Heather and Matthew. Their ceremony was short, sweet, and full of emotion. As a result, every smile and tear felt honest and unforced.
Following the ceremony, guests traveled to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn for the reception. This is where the biggest surprise of the day happened.

When Heather and Matthew were announced for the first time as husband and wife, they didn’t enter alone. Instead, Goofy and Donald Duck joined them. The room erupted with laughter and cheers.

Because the couple kept this secret from everyone, the reactions were priceless. Guests danced with the characters, snapped photos, and fully embraced the fun. From there, the reception turned into a true celebration.

After the surprise entrance, the party continued. Heather and Matthew shared short, sweet first dances. Then, heartfelt toasts followed from family and friends.
Lunch was served, drinks were flowing, and the dance floor stayed full. Later in the afternoon, the couple even enjoyed a few private moments with the characters. These quiet pauses balanced the excitement perfectly.
Heather and Matthew described their wedding vibe as fun, intimate, raw, and playful. Their Disney BoardWalk Inn wedding brought all of that to life.

From private vows to an unforgettable reception entrance, every part of the day felt intentional. Most of all, it felt like them.
