Some engagement sessions feel less like a photoshoot and more like a relaxed evening together. Megan & Dominick’s session at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park was exactly that.
Located in the heart of downtown Tampa at 600 N Ashley Dr, Tampa, FL 33602, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park offers a perfect balance of city energy and open space. Because of this, couples can slow down, move naturally, and stay fully present. Meanwhile, the skyline and waterfront quietly frame the story.
Megan and Dominick met while attending college in New York. Since then, they’ve been by each other’s side through every season of life. After COVID, they decided to move to Florida and start a new chapter together.

They’ve been together for six years, and in June 2023, Dominick proposed at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Even more meaningful, he included their family in the moment. As a result, the proposal felt deeply personal and intentional.
Because of that history, choosing this location for their engagement session felt full-circle. It wasn’t just a beautiful spot in Tampa. Instead, it was the place where their “yes” began.
From the moment Megan & Dominick arrived, everything felt easy. There was no pressure and no stiff posing. Instead, we focused on walking, talking, and letting moments unfold naturally.

They strolled along the Riverwalk, paused under the trees, and laughed through the in-between moments. Those moments often become our favorites. That’s also why Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park works so well for engagement sessions.
If you’re planning a Tampa engagement session, this location is one of our favorites. Not only is it beautiful, but it also offers so much variety in one place.

Because everything is close together, sessions stay relaxed and unhurried. As a result, couples can focus on each other instead of the camera.
What stood out most during this session was how comfortable Megan & Dominick were together. Dominick would pull Megan in close. Megan would smile without even realizing it. Those quiet moments told the story best.

Ultimately, this session is a reminder that engagement photos don’t need to feel complicated. Instead, they should feel meaningful. Choose a location that matters to you, show up as yourselves, and trust the process.
If you’re dreaming of an engagement session that feels relaxed and true to who you are, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is a wonderful option. It’s especially perfect if you love a mix of city views and waterfront scenery.

We’d love to help you plan a session that feels just as intentional as Megan & Dominick’s.
